What is a freelance kitchen & bedroom designer and how does this differ to a showroom experience?
A freelance designer offers a time-saving, stress-free, and deeply tailored design
experience—we act as your dedicated expert, not a salesperson. Unlike a showroom,
which often has set parameters with specific suppliers, our main focus is you. We
ensure you make all the right, intentional choices by truly understanding your cooking
style, ‘wish list,’ and pain points to create the most functional new layout for your space.
Due to not supplying kitchens or bedrooms, we provide a non-biased approach to your
design and are committed to helping you choose the best independent supplier and
build the right project team. We are the designer that truly “gets” your vision and guides
you every step of the way.
How does it work?
The best place to start is by booking your 20-minute Kitchen Discovery Call. This no obligation session allows me to learn about your project, for you to ask questions, and
to see if one of my design packages is the right fit.
Once you choose a package, your initial design meeting is scheduled. Before this call,
you send over your room dimensions or architectural plans, allowing us to immediately
apply your initial thoughts and specifications. Following this, my team and I create a
detailed, annotated floorplan listing all items, supply elevations for your trades, and
produce realistic Colour CGI visuals so you can see exactly what your new space will
look like.
Depending on your package, we then work together on amendments, identify kitchen
and bedroom suppliers that suit your style and budget, and finalise trade schedules to
ensure your entire project is organised and moves forward without rushed decisions.
Do you do site surveys, not sure about remote working?
We primarily work remotely, which allows us to assist clients with kitchen and bedroom
renovations across the entire UK with great efficiency. Home visits are available and can
be arranged based on your location and the specific level of support required for your
chosen design package. We can also arrange to visit suppliers with you, depending on
your project needs.
How much does it cost?
Our design fees are structured via three clear Design Packages to suit different project complexities and support needs. Since every renovation is unique, the best way to determine the cost is by booking a free
20-minute Kitchen Discovery Call. This allows you to learn more about the design packages on offer and for me to understand your project
requirements fully.
Where are you based?
I am based in Shropshire and work with kitchen and bedroom suppliers and trades
across the UK. Our flexible, remote model allows us to effectively manage your project
regardless of your location.
Do you manage the installation or construction phase?
Yes, depending on which design package you choose, we offer various levels of support
for the build phase. This support can include helping you source experienced kitchen
fitters and trades and organising the time scheduling and management of your project
to ensure a smooth and eƯicient transition from design to completion.
Do you help businesses too?
Yes, absolutely! Our team regularly works with independent kitchen retailers, joiners,
builders, and kitchen fitters. We support their projects by providing professional design
documentation, including annotated floor plans, elevations, and high-quality CGI
visuals, to bring their clients’ visions to life. This partnership helps ensure fast client
turnaround times and saves their team valuable time.
